About Chivolo

Chivolo is a place for kids to watch fun videos that reflect the diversity of the real world.

When Chivolo's creator, Georgia Kirkpatrick, reviewed her four-year-old stepdaughter's history on the YouTube Kids app, she found that very few videos featured characters of color. Georgia created Chivolo with content from the YouTube Data API to provide families with kids' videos that reflect the diversity of the real world, helping children connect with characters who look like themselves and form positive associations with people of all races.

Grownups

Want to customize your child's viewing experience based on their age? You can create a profile for each of your children in the Grownups section. At this point, the profiles you create will be erased when you close your web browser or refresh the Chivolo page. Georgia plans to update Chivolo to address this issue when she learns how to use servers. In the meantime, an easy get-around to avoid losing profile data is to simply leave a browser page open with the Chivolo app.
